Confirmed bookings
β Check before Sep 15
The Imperial Palace tour voucher showed 1 adult β the trip is for two. Confirm the booking covers both travelers before the free-cancellation deadline on the voucher.
β Sep 12, 18 & 24 are placeholders
No flight numbers, airports, or Shinkansen reservation details were provided for arrival (Sep 12), the TokyoβOsaka travel day (Sep 18), or departure from Kansai (Sep 24). Once booked, update those tabs with the real flight/train, times, and terminal/platform details.
The one rule
Fixed booking time beats optional sightseeing. If delayed, shorten browsing or drop an optional stop β never risk teamLab, the Imperial Palace tour, SHIBUYA SKY, the matcha class, or the 7:30 PM YOKAI parade on Sep 22.
Every morning before leaving
- Screenshot all QR/Klook vouchers and meeting-point maps; keep phone battery above 70%.
- Carry passports (tax-free shopping), IC card, water, sunscreen, a compact umbrella, comfortable shoes.
- Follow the line letter + station number + direction β not color alone. Trust the live station board over this plan.
- September heat and humidity: protect fixed bookings first, drop optional stops if tired or delayed.
IC cards
Tokyo: one Suica/PASMO per person, loaded with at least Β₯3,000 each to start. Osaka: one ICOCA per person, loaded with βΒ₯10,000β12,000 before Sep 22 β plus βΒ₯2,000 cash per person for small shops and temples. No midday hotel returns on any day; rest stops are built around cafΓ©s, lunch, or seated attractions.
Travelers by day
2 travelers Sep 13β20 (morning), joined by a 3rd friend after the Sep 20 airport pickup, 3 travelers Sep 20 (evening)β23.
Train-color key
| Line | Where it’s used |
|---|---|
| M Marunouchi | Main red line across the trip. Don’t confuse with JR Keiyo, also shown red on some signs. |
| H Hibiya | Akihabara β Higashi-ginza. |
| Z Hanzomon | Otemachi β Omotesando β Shibuya. |
| G Ginza | Shibuya β Shimbashi return. |

Night before
- Charge phones and power bank; save booking QR codes and hotel address offline.
- Confirm the Sep 15 Imperial Palace participant count is 2 adults.
- Check next day’s weather, closure notices, and live route; set alarms with a 15-minute buffer.
- Pack passports, IC cards, umbrella, water, and any medicines in the day bag.
At the station
- Match line letter + station number, then confirm destination/direction on the platform board.
- Tap the same IC card at entry and exit. If a gate rejects it, use the staffed gate β don’t repeatedly tap.
- Allow extra time at Tokyo Station’s JR Keiyo transfer and at big stations: Shibuya, Shinjuku, Ikebukuro.
- Exit numbers can close temporarily β follow the nearest open exit and navigate by street level.
