There is something that feels a little scary about putting something you made out into the world. Even something small. Even something free. You keep thinking, is this actually helpful? Did I miss anything? Will anyone even care?
But I did it anyway. And I am honestly so glad I did.
A few weeks ago, I quietly launched a free download on my resources page. It is called the VA Starter Kit, and if you have ever thought about becoming a virtual assistant or are already in the middle of figuring it all out, this one is for you.
Why I Made This
When I first started out as a VA, I was completely overwhelmed. There was so much I did not know. No one handed me a guide. No one told me what to charge, how to reach out to clients, or what to say when someone finally replied. I had to piece everything together on my own, one confusing step at a time.
I learned everything from experience. My previous employers taught me more than any course ever could. I just showed up, paid attention, asked questions when I could, and trusted that I would figure it out eventually. And I did. But looking back, I think about how much easier it would have been if someone had just handed me a starting point.
That is exactly what this kit is.
I made it because I genuinely want to make things a little easier for anyone who is where I used to be. Not because I am an expert or a coach or anything like that. Just because I have been there, and I remember what that feeling of not knowing where to begin is like.
What is Inside the VA Starter Kit
The kit has five things inside that I wish I had when I was just getting started:
- VA Blueprint — a simple overview to help you understand what being a VA actually looks like day to day
- Outreach Scripts — real templates you can use to reach out to potential clients without feeling awkward about it
- Rate-Setting Worksheet — because figuring out what to charge is one of the hardest parts, and this makes it a little less guesswork
- Client Onboarding Checklist — so you do not forget anything important when you are bringing on a new client
- Services Menu Template — a clean template to help you organize and present what you offer
It is not everything you will ever need. But it is a solid place to start.
It is Completely Free
No catch. No upsell waiting at the end. Just grab it, use it, and hopefully it helps you move forward a little faster than I did.
You can download it right here on my Free Resources page. Just scroll down, enter your email, and it will be on its way to you.
If you already grabbed it, I would love to hear what you think. Send me a message or drop a comment. Knowing it actually reached someone and helped them even a little bit would honestly make my whole day.
Here is to starting somewhere.
